Christmas year around…
A part of my family is celebrating Christmas today…it has become more important to get together, rather than getting together on the “correct “ day…if it happens in the 25th of December, that’s okay, too…
I am thankful the weather has stayed clear of snow this time…the last two times we got together in Portland for Christmas, it was snowy, icy, scary, and fun…but, we also had members we are missing now, as well…
We have a variety of Christmas celebrators…some go all out with oodles and oodles of decorations….some very simple…and in between…some are traditional, some are nativity, some are sugarplum…but, the theme of family is constant…
Reading in Revelations again…Christmas isn’t mentioned…but, we couldn’t have it without Christmas, the celebration of the Birth of Christ, God coming to earth to fulfill his promise of redemption….we need Christmas..we need baby Jesus, we need His redemption…we need his fulfillment of prophecies…we need all that is written…from the beginning through eternity…we need Him every hour, every year…He is our breath maker…He is the Alpha and Omega…
So we celebrate his birth once a year, but we really celebrate Him year around…
Thank YOU…
Sometimes every Christmas…
