It is all about You,

 It is all about You…


As I read the following passage this morning, the song, “heart of worship “, kept running through my mind…

Paul, lists tip things to put and put…could easily make a check list of do’s and don’ts…something we check off as we did them each day, to make sure we following maturity rules…but, no, he want us to draw on the Holy Spirit to live a Christian life…and it comes back to the “heart of worship….grasping, living in, being rooted in the love of Jesus…

 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. 

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. 

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! 

Amen. 

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 

But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 

This is why it says:“When he ascended on high,he took many captivesand gave gifts to his people.” (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? 

He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 

From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Eph.3.13-21,Eph.4.1-16


 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
