Build up….

Build up…

When my husband and I studied spiritual gifting a long time ago, it was so encouraging…we saw how, we as a couple, worked together as well as other members of the body melded together…how each was so important in the whole…there is joy in being part of a body of believers who build one another up…there is joy in knowing God has a place for each person…
There is joy in fulfilling others needs and encouraging one another…there is joy in serving…

Reading through the book of  1 Corinthians, a letter by Paul  to a very diverse group of people in Corinth…rich, poor, in a Roman environment…we have similar differences today, yet, the Word is for all, gifting is for all, Salvation is offered for all…building up one another is for all…

Thank YOU…

The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.
What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
1Cor.14.4,12,26

to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Eph.4.12,16,29

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1Thess.5.11

And it shall be said,“Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people's way.”
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Isa.57.14-15

The God who stays…
