Straight…

 Straight…

I clicked this picture recently in the woods near  Klamath Falls…a tree that looked like it had a really bad start in life, but straightened out….was probably crowded out by others later in life…succumbing to the winds of time…

It gave me pause…we can grow through adversity, just as this tree had grown from it crookedness…we need light, roots…those things which come from the Word…we have a purpose, as this tree does in feeding others with its nutrients…our lives may not be as long as the others around us, but we can still be a thing of beauty in the green forests…we may be different, but God uses everything for His Glory…

Straight…

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Proverbs 3:6-8

What is crooked cannot be made straight, and what is lacking cannot be counted.

Ecclesiastes 1:15

Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.

Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Isaiah 30:20-21

He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

John 1:23

And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.

Luke 13:11-13

Thank YOU…
