School daze....

School daze.....

Dew on the grass,
blinking yellow lights,
crossing guards....
traffic...
school buses...
Hot days...
Sales on school supplies...clothes, backpacks...
Crowded stores with families...

School has started in my area. I knew it was coming by the many clues...
But as I walked one of my early morning routes, i wasn’t ready for the traffic nor the busses...just the day before it was a quiet walkway...not bustling with parents driving children to school and buses with their flashing yellow and red lights...hummm...summer has gone sooo quickly...

Today the predicted temperature is 99 degrees, so summer hasn’t faded into the crisp autumn yet, leaves aren’t falling...crops are still to be harvested in nearby fields and orchards...but the seasons are changing slowly melding one into another...

Life goes on as it has since the beginning of time...subtle sometimes and abruptly at other times...life to life...life to death...spring, summer, fall and winter... preschool to preteen to teen to adult...middle age to aged...new to old...and around again...a vapor in time...

Thank YOU for changes but being unchanged...always there through it all...You never fail, never leave, always love, always available...

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. ”
Isaiah 40:8

The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children —
Psalm 103:15-17

.....God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5b
