A million dreams...

A million dreams...

Driving toward an appointment yesterday, I was following a special events truck filled with tables and chairs...it pulled into a home with a beautifully manicured yard awaiting this special event to take place...

My mind wandered into a wedding set-up, the bride and groom busily working on last minute details, the parents scurrying here and there, the attendants making sure their clothing had the right fit, caterers creating their specialties, the florist wrapping the bouquets in fine ribbons, the photographer making sure the batteries were fully charged...a million details it seemed...

I thought of my own wedding...my children’s weddings...the many weddings I coordinated or created flowers for...a million details it seemed...sleepless nights of designing, refining ...dreaming...

We dream dreams, millions of them, I imagine,  over a lifetime...what we will do when we are are grown, a family, the years ahead, the years behind, a marriage or not, vocations, how we will impact the world close at hand or far away...

Now my marriage has come and gone, my children are celebrating their years of marriage, some of my grandchildren are beginning to start their college years while others are just starting school ...all have those dreams as well...

God has a plan for each just as He did and does for me...I watch in wonder as each unfolds, delighted in their growth, their design, their dreams unfold...God working in their lives... my life...thank YOU...

This music was gift this morning...as I opened my computer...it brought to mind those “ million dreams” we dream...

Piano rendition by the Piano guys... no lyrics...

Lyrics....
"A Million Dreams"
(from "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack)

[Ziv Zaifman:]
I close my eyes and I can see
A world that's waiting up for me
That I call my owner king on
Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design

'Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

There's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far away
The special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy day

They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say we've lost our minds
I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy
Run away to a world that we design

[Hugh Jackman:]
Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

[Michelle Williams:]
However big, however small
Let me be part of it all
Share your dreams with me
You may be right, you may be wrong
But say that you'll bring me along
To the world you see
To the world I close my eyes to see
I close my eyes to see

[Michelle Williams & Hugh Jackman:]
Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
A million dreams, a million dreams
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

For the world we're gonna make

The audio song with words....

You have searched me,  Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand — when I awake, I am still with you.
Psalm 139:1-6,13-18
