Verses of comfort…19…
I have been dealing with back pain since college…and sometimes it is a lot worse than others, for whatever reason…was working on upper back and lower back before cancer and colon surgery…and laying in the hospital bed for a month and rehab for 2 1/2 months did not help, although so much steroids and pain killers masked it for a time…
(Much of what I am experiencing now is from lifting my husband when he was ill with cancer…but, I wouldn’t trade that time for anything…)
As I lay awake last night, I thought of this first verse…totally out of context …how long, how long….will my enemy(pain) triumph over me…as I wrestled for a comfortable position, sheets and blankets….
I actually had to chuckle through it…He does comfort us….
