Gardens along the way...3

Gardens along the way....3

When one of my grandsons comes to visit, we go for walks, weather permitting.  This time of year as I has said in two previous posts there are gardens along the way...

This week we took a new path for him...he rides and walks his bike depending on the sidewalk situation...as I walk...he goes to the “next stop” and waits for grandma to catch up. We talk about a myriad of things along the way...as well as look at the next batch of blooming flowers and yards...I take pictures, he calls me to take another picture when he sees something pretty...we identify each flower and/or trees as we can, talk about the squirrel which darts ahead, the cars coming and going nearby, the beauty of God’s creation...the intricacy, precision, detail, order of a bearded iris with it delicate beard...toss pinecones in the creek and watch them float, swirl in the churning water...wait for the ducks swim by...spy on the red-winged black bird which flits from cattail to cattail, singing it’s song, pulling fluff to build a nest nearby...

Some other friends are walking as well....Younglife staff and volunteers are walking to raise funds for Latin American groups..one calls to tell me of her progress, not a walker, but committed to the cause..the following two videos share their passion...

Different kinds of gardens along the way...plants...people...each needing tender care...help...cultivating ...
God’s Specially designed love...
Thank YOU for the beauty...in the lives of others...in the gardens along the way...

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. ” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:11-12

So I say, walk by the Spirit,....
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Galatians 5:16a, 22-23,25,6:8-10
