Directions...

Directions...

I recently moved to a new house on a new street...

The postman finally found me, but other deliveries are being sent back and I have repeatedly gotten reports of " address Unknown" as packages and Mail  have been returned to sender...have had to order new checks twice, been charged and still no checks...
The newspaper delivery just started a month after not finding me....
The GPS map shows vacant lots on its site, where four homes now are built...
Some delivery people actually use the phone number on order to call and ask directions, while others apparently skip that process...oh well , in the grand scheme of events, this is pretty minuscule...just annoying at present...

Reading through the Word, there are directions to follow...Noah had directions to build an ark; Moses, lead his people, build a tabernacle; Gibeon, fight a battle; Abraham, look for the promised land; Namann, wash in the Jordon;  Esther, save her people; various prophets, what to say; Joseph, caring for his family; Mary, becoming a mother.....and on and on down through the years....directions ....

The Word has directions for each person, some specific, some general ...
How to be saved, how to live, how to pray, how to get along, what to look forward to...thank YOU that You gave us directions in life...

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!
You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.
Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!
Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.
I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules.
I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me!
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!
I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes! With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth.
In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word.
Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me!
Psalm 119:1-19

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
