Psalm 90...

Psalm 90...

Psalm 90 has been attributed to the writings of Moses. In the chronological Bible it comes after the people have rebelled against the sightings of the promised land and listened to the 10 men who say there is no way they can take the land promised....even though Caleb and Joshua say they can...the people are crying for a new leader to take them back to Egypt where they are willing to be enslaved again...they have seen the hand of God give daily bread, water, dry the sea to cross, the building of the tabernacle...and now they want to return, not to enter the promised land...

Can you imagine getting to heaven's entrance and decide to go back to earth and all of its tribulations?...choosing another leader after having the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort, Jesus as a savior, God as a father and turning back???

I admit, daily decisions for me pose that question...whom will I follow???

Thank YOU for your Holy Word...written down for my perusal...spoken into my heart ...help me not to look back, but forward to your promised riches not getting cAught in the day to day doubts...

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.
May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:14-17 NIV

Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! Come back, God —how long do we have to wait?— and treat your servants with kindness for a change. Surprise us with love at daybreak; then we’ll skip and dance all the day long. Make up for the bad times with some good times; we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime. Let your servants see what you’re best at— the ways you rule and bless your children. And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!
