Words of truth…

I wish my traveler from last week could have read the book of John,but alas, it was probably written many years after Jesus death and resurrection…aren’t we blessed to have the written Word now…but, we don’t get the feel of the real culture and happenings of that time…we can read about them, but that is not quite the same thing…but we have a look into people lives with the writings….

 It is said that the deity of Christ is found  in every  chapter of the book of John…by what Jesus calls himself and John giving a personal account of his friendship and life of following Jesus during this time with Him…what a gift…

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

(Rev.19: 3 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 

John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

1 John 1: 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 

Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;)

2 He was with God in the beginning. 

(Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.)

3 Through him all things were :made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 

(1 Cor 8: , 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 

(John 5: 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. )

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

(John 3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.)
