Living water…

 Living water….

Having lived in the Great Basin in the U.S., you learn that you never go anywhere without taking water with you…there maybe some along the way or in streams in the mountains or it may be completely barren…

There are even places that the government has set up water catching tanks for the animals…so you know it is dry…Nevada’s annual rainfall ranges from 4.5 to 9.5 inches…

The Word speaks of water, regular and divine living water…how we need to seek the springs of living water, fountain of life…spiritual water that only comes from God which leads us to eternal life…seek His water…

10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

John 4:10

13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

John 4:13-14

1As the deer pants for streams of water,
    so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
    When can I go and meet with God? 

Psalm 42:1-2

55 “Come, all you who are thirsty,
    come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
    come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without cost.

    broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

Zechariah 13:1

For with you is the fountain of life;
    in your light we see light.

Psalm 36:9

13 Lord, you are the hope of Israel;
    all who forsake you will be put to shame.
Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust
    because they have forsaken the Lord,
    the spring of living water.
