Sleeplessness….

 Sleeplessness….

I don’t know about you,  but I have sleepless nights…right now, most of them are from the medications  I am taking…they cause about 4-5 sleepless nights every 1st and 2nd week of three…steroids seem to do that to me… I lay there, eyes wide open, pretty soon, I pray, then  I read, then I try to sleep again…but basically it is the same pattern those 4-5 nights…until I crash about the 3rd or 4th day…

David was running from his rebellious son, Absalom and in Psalm 3, he writes,  

 “I lie down and sleep;I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.”

Ps.3.5-6

My Bible study notes….”Sleep does not come easily during a crisis. David could have had sleepless nights when his son Absalom rebelled and gathered an army to kill him. but David slept peacefully, even during the rebellion….David cried out to the Lord, and the Lord heard him…the assurance of answered prayer brings peace….God is in control of the circumstances….”…

What a promise…!!!
