Thankfulness...

Thankfulness.....

There are times in life that are really difficult to say thanks...those days when everything seems to go wrong, those diagnosis's that chill your mind, the times when we wonder "why", the sleepless nights for a myriad of reasons...but even thou we may not feel like it or not even want to, we have to come back to gratitude or not ...in the big or little of life...

I flew almost across the United States twice in the  last week...I was thankful for a working aircraft, on time arrivals, no lost luggage...and families at both destinations...the beauty of the scenery at either end, the safety in day to day travel...the hugs, the cuddles, the sharing of lives at each end, the fast communication systems we have, the warn beds, rooms, the spectacular sunrises and sunsets....things I take for granted, but need to acknowledge...the "everyday" blessings...

But, also the deeper eternal thankfulness, as Sarah Young  has listed, salvation, Grace, faith...I take these for granted as well...they just are for those who believe or not...they are available for all...and when I do take time to ponder these infinite gifts...I am overwhelmed and filled with a joy that is overpoweringly deeper than can be described...

Thank YOU for bringing me back to thankfulness from looking at the ingratitude...you have given so much ...

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
Hebrews 12:28

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34

"November 26
THANKING ME AWAKENS YOUR HEART and sharpens your mind, helping you enjoy My Presence. So when you’re feeling out of focus or out of touch with Me, make the effort to thank Me for something. There is always an abundance of things to choose from: eternal gifts—such as salvation, grace, and faith—as well as ordinary, everyday blessings. Think back over the past twenty-four hours, and make note of all the good things I’ve provided in that short block of time. Not only will this lift your spirits, it will wake up your mind so you can think more clearly. "   Jesus Always, Sarah Young
