Psalm 40:4-5….thoughts….

 4.  Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust,who does not turn to the proud,to those who go astray after a lie! 

         

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Ps.34.8

 O Lord of hosts,blessed is the one who trusts in you!

Ps.84.12

 When pride comes, then comes disgrace,but with the humble is wisdom.

Prov.11.2

 Pride goes before destruction,and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Prov.16.18,Prov.16.19

 One's pride will bring him low,but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.

Prov.29.23

 Better is the end of a thing than its beginning,and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Eccl.7.8

 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear.

Rom.11.20

 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2Tim.3.1-5

 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Jas.4.6

5. You have multiplied, O Lord my God,your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;none can compare with you!

I will proclaim and tell of them,yet they are more than can be told.

 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isa.55.8-9

There are a lot of thoughts I need to check at the door…pride being a huge one…it does no one any good…God wants a humble heart…his thoughts/ways are so much higher than anything, anyone….
