Searching for answers…

 Searching for answers….

I just turned the page from Psalm 20 to 21…

A note in the margin says, “Don home going in 2012”….14 years ago, we were going from doctor to doctor trying to find out why he was having trouble with his balance. One doc said this, another doctor had another theory….we didn’t know until they  wheeled him in for a scan…those results were hard to even comprehend, not him….a picture of health…he was just having balance issues not  a terminal brain tumor that would take his life within 6 months…

But, reading this Psalm 21, one written by a king thousands of years ago, when he was praising God for Victory, was apropos …my husband gave God the glory for his victories even when times looked bleak…

Thank YOU…

 O Lord, in your strength the king rejoices,and in your salvation how greatly he exults!

You have given him his heart's desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

For you meet him with rich blessings;

you set a crown of fine gold upon his head.

He asked life of you;

you gave it to him,length of days forever and ever.

His glory is great through your salvation;

splendor and majesty you bestow on him.

For you make him most blessed forever;

you make him glad with the joy of your presence.

For the king trusts in the Lord,and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved.

Ps.21.1-7

“David described all that he had as gifts from God…”the desire of his heart”, rich blessings, a crown of pure gold, long life, splendor, and majesty, eternal blessings, gladness. We too must  look upon all we have-position, family wealth, talent-as gifts from God. Only then will we use them to give glory back to him…….

A good leader trusts the Lord and depends upon his unfailing love. Too often leaders trust is their own cleverness, popular support, or military power.But God is above all these”gods”. If you aspire to leadership, keep the Lord God at the center of your life and depend on him. His wisdom is the best strength you can have…” Bible study notes…
