 Psalm 27:1-4… light and fears…

Right now cancer is a reality for me…I really don’t want to be known as the woman with cancer…there is so much more to life than that…but I don’t want to fear to assail or trap me…I want live while I can…be apart of life that revolves around. ….every time I go to the cancer center, I see despair…the staff is amazing with smiles and encouragement…they to brighten everyone’s day with encouraging words…

I realize this psalm may not be about cancer, but that is the way it spoke to me…

I like the words…

Light…

salvation…

No fear…

Stronghold…

Strength…

Song…

Love…

Enemies stumbling….not winning…

Confidence…

Hope…

integrity…

 1. The Lord is my light and my salvation;whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life;of whom shall I be afraid? 

 The sun shall be no more your light by day,nor for brightness shall the moon give you light;but the Lord will be your everlasting light,and your God will be your glory. 

Your sun shall no more go down,nor your moon withdraw itself;for the Lord will be your everlasting light,and your days of mourning shall be ended.

Isa.60.19-20

 The Lord is my strength and my song,and he has become my salvation;this is my God, and I will praise him,my father's God, and I will exalt him.

 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John.8.12

 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.What can man do to me?Ps.118.6

“ fear is a dark shadow that envelops us and ultimately imprisons us within ourselves….if we want to dispel the darkness of fear, we need to remember with the psalmist that “the LORD is my light 

and my salvation.” Bible study notes…

 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

1John.4.18

2. When evildoers assail me-to eat up my flesh,my adversaries and foes,it is they who stumble and fall. 

 When my enemies turn back,they stumble and perish before your presence.

Ps.9.3

 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord?

3..Though an army encamp against me,my heart shall not fear;though war arise against me,yet I will be confident. 

 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

4. One thing have I asked of the Lord,that will I seek after:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. 

 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,and establish the work of our hands upon us;yes, establish the work of our hands!
