Thoughts….

We come to “thoughts” in verses 17 and 18 of Psalm 139…so I found a few verses about “thoughts”, both man’s and God’s…quite the difference…something to “think” about….

How precious to me are your thoughts, God!How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them,they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.

Ps.139.17-18

 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

Ps.10.4

 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?How long will my enemy triumph over me?

Psal.13.2

 Many, Lord my God,are the wonders you have done,the things you planned for us.

None can compare with you;were I to speak and tell of your deeds,they would be too many to declare.

Ps.40.5

 How great are your works, Lord,how profound your thoughts!

Ps.92.5

 You know when I sit and when I rise;you perceive my thoughts from afar.

Ps.139.2

 Search me, God, and know my heart;test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Ps.139.23

 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.

Prov.4.26

 The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways,but the folly of fools is deception.

Prov.14.8

 The wicked put up a bold front,but the upright give thought to their ways.

Prov.21.29

As the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your waysand my thoughts than your thoughts.
