Prayer and praise times…
Years ago, we moved to another town for a period of time. My husband went back to school, a seminary to get another Masters…take care of his mother in her last years, find out where God really wanted us, get some direction with our children, etc….
We became involved in a church while there which was so good, especially for me…the women’s Bible study was large, 150-175 women attending, broken down into small groups of 10-12 studying various topics or Bible books. In the spring we had a prayer and praise time, the best day of the study as one by one women shared how their year went…tears and laughter abounded…
Another church I attended after the passing of my husband had a special time at Easter…prayer stations…taking time at each station to pray for specific topics…
I went to a women’s retreat where we did the stations as well…
A friend recently attended and spoke at a women’s retreat and they did the stations as well… she graciously shared their station topics….(these can be suited for each group or event)….adding journals or handouts would be nice…
Station 1- Salvation, praying for those who need salvation…
Station 2-praying for our students and schools…
Station 3-praying for prodigals…
Station 4-God’s Word…
Station 5-Prayer for facility using…
Station 6-Pray a psalm out loud…
Station 7- Pray for our pastors…
Station 8-Pray for the persecuted church…
Station 9-Take time to listen, contemplate….
A few other ideas….

I thought of Ezra reading the word in the hearing of the people in the book of Nehemiah…it was a super special time….God spoke to those people through the Word…and they responded …this big congregation wasn’t an everyday event, it was special…
He read it aloud from daybreak till noon as he faced the square before the Water Gate in the presence of the men, women and others who could understand. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people understood what was being read. Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” The Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, for this is a holy day. Do not grieve.” Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them. Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly.
